Which niches are best for blogging or personal websites October 12, 2008

There are so many questions like, “what type of website should I start?” or “what kind of website will make me the most money?” Logically, the best websites to start would be financial, medical, politics, celebs (ect.) This is only because people want to know about that kind of stuff. It’s the important stuff that people look at. The search engines know this.  However, since people know that these sites get the most views they start making more and more of these sites. Only about 1 in 20 of those sites get good revenue, and generate good quality information.  The rest of them are mostly scams.

My suggestion to you is not to pay attention to what other people want, but what you want. The best niche is when you do what you love, and have a great passion for.  If you love what your doing there is also a great chance that you know some good information on the subject. Everybody wins that way.

The worst possible thing you can do is start a website that you think will make you a lot of money, but you know nothing on the subject.  I guarantee it that you won’t make much money at all if you do that.  First of all; you probably won’t enjoy it when you have to constantly update your site, and you have nothing to talk about.  Second, your not giving the good quality information that your visitors demand.

Save yourself, and everybody else a pain in the ass, and do something you enjoy.

I found this on another blog, and I thought it was really funny. Verizon pissed off an engineer, and this is the check he sent to cover the bill.

Hello again readers! Today I am going to talk about getting yourself started in your internet career. I will talk about what the basic, and necessary things you need to do in order reach your goal of making money online.  Starting off is no doubt the hardest of all the steps. However, I will walk you through some simple steps on how to make your experience a bit easier.

Plan for Success!

First off the best thing to do is set yourself some attainable goals. Get a piece of paper and write down exactly what you would like to accomplish, and how much money you want to make (ect.) You can write down any goal you desire. That is completely up to you. Maybe you write down how many visitors you want to reach in a certain time period, or maybe you want to set a goal for how many links you build.  Any goal you would like to try and attain write it down.  All this is doing is setting a positive mindset, and telling yourself try you very best to reach these goals. I do this every time I want to achieve something. Sometimes, it even helps when you recite these goals before you go to bed every day.

Getting a domain & hosting

The next thing you need to is get some hosting. This is where your sites will be kept, and published to the internet. I recommend Hostmonster. I’ve always used host monster, and haven’t had any problems yet. Before you get your hosting you will need to get a domain. I recommend buying the domain from namecheap. Buying a domain through a host isn’t always the best idea. Buy a good domain that you are sure of, so that you do not have any doubts of it later. If you want to learn more about picking a good domain name visit my blog later, and I will have some tips on how to buy a good domain for your website.

Starting your website

Before you start your actual website you should consider doing something you really enjoy, and love doing. If you do this it boost the potential of you making more money. You do not want to do something that you really don’t like, but you think will make you some money. I have done this plenty of times, and every single time I failed. That’s why I am giving you this advice.

The design of your site will also be a vital aspect in your chances of making money, and getting continuous traffic to your site.

Affiliate programs & Adsense

Affiliate programs, and adsense are vital to making money online. Google adsense works by clicks, and affiliate programs make you money when someone signs up on one of those adds. In later post I will tell you more about these money making programs, but for now just sign up, and place them neatly on your site.

I cannot write all of the stuff you must do in one post, so visit my blog tommorow, and I will have some more tips for you!

Until next time folks!

I’m sure by now you’ve noticed that most of the internet consist of millions if not billions of scams. Most of those scams involve money in one way or another. Anyone who currently owns an email account knows exactly what I’m talking about. Those countless spam emails you just can’t seem to get rid of. Well, I’m here to tell you that those aren’t the only kind of scams that exist.  As you browse through google you’ll find many websites that propose that they know how to make “easy cash”, and “fast.”  There is no such thing as easy, and fast cash. However, if you are walking down the street, and you come across a quarter on the ground; Hell, you just made yourself some fast cash buddy! Don’t get me wrong now; there are possible ways of making fast cash, but by no means is it easy.

In all my years trying to figure out how to make that money those advertisers say I can; I haven’t found one that works as easy as they say. When you buy their products you just increase their fortune, and for nothing. You basically bought an e-book titled “Put easy cash in your pocket now.”  Anyone smell bullshit?

Everyone likes money, and that’s a fact. That is why we all buy into this crap. Through my many years of researching what I call “Internet Bullshit” I have found out what works, and what is just a bunch of bull. I have had my downs, but I also have had my successes in making money on the internet. Just so you don’t have to go through some of those down I will show how to reach those successes. Now, I am not selling my methods, ideas or products here.  I will teach you free of charge, but you will have to continuously visit my blog for updated information.  I am telling you right now that if you want to make money online it’s not going to be a walk in the park. You will have to commit yourself, and separate yourself from the competition.

If you want to take advantage of my money making, and marketing solutions visit my blog regularly, and subscribe to my RSS feed.

Until next time folks!

Wow, I’m speechless after I saw this story.  22 years old, and already a millionaire. Maybe that could be me or you one day? Who knows. Anyway, I thought this was a cool story I’d share to show how doing something you love, and separating yourself from the competition pays off BIG time.

Good, but overpriced Adobe products October 8, 2008

Adobe, I have to give it to ya. You make some incredible products, but why oh why do you charge so damn much? I understand that all Adobe products are of top quality, but I mean $700 for photoshop? Cmon Now! Give us little people a break!

Adobe makes a large portion of their profits through businesses and Educational services.  I for one couldn’t do my job as a part time graphic designer without the wonderful programs Adobe photoshop and Flash. The other luxury products just add to your experience, but those products also cost a large chunk of money.  Thats exactly why I do not personally invest in them.

Here is a poll I got from www.epicedits.com

Obviously I’m not the only one with this opinion.  Photoshop is one of the most pirated softwares known to man.  I’m not sure about this, but I’d say 4 out of 5 people who have photoshop pirated it off the internet.

Here comes the big question, “Is Adobe making or losing money from their overpriced products?”  Would Adobe be maximizing their profits by cutting their prices in half? I’d say so. I doubt that this will happen anytime soon, but if it does I will gladly go to the store and purchase some Adobe goodies!

Kimbo you SUCK! October 7, 2008

If your a MMA fan than you definitely know who Kimbo Slice (King of The Streets) is. He’s an extremely hyped fighter to say the least. He’s big, but I don’t think thats enough for the UFC. My point was proved in his last fight against a fill in, yes a fill in Seth Petruzelli who needed 14 seconds to defeat Kimbo.  If Kimbo can’t beat a fill in how is he going to beat the real fighters?  I say Kimbos run is over. I’m not quite sure this is the right job for him.

Heres a video of the fight.

I have to admit that I used to be a fan of Kimbo considering the background he comes from, but not anymore.
