Today I would like to talk about unique content, and why it’s good for your site as opposed to automated content.  I will use an analogy, so you can better understand the concept.

Have you ever been to a public high school? You’ll most likely see a lot of kids sagging, and pretending to be gangsters. They all look exactly the same. Then out in the crowd you might spot a kid wearing regular clothes, and being himself. This kid would be considered as unique. The unique people are more likely to get noticed.

When this is dealing with web content the way you will get noticed is by search engines; like google, msn, and yahoo. You will have a better chance to improve your SE ranking writing your own content; as opposed to using an automated blog script, or something that just copies content from other sites. 

When you create unique content you should also make it useful. You should not create a bunch of your own unique content, and have no facts behind your information. That’s not a good way to build trust with your visitors. 

There is not much to tell about unique content. You don’t have to do it, but to put it plain and simple, It’s better. Remember that just because it’s unique doesn’t mean it’s useful.
